Italic is creating a world of luxury without labels. We believe that luxury today is exclusionary and all about marketing that hurts its customers and manufacturers. Our mission is to create a new model that enables manufacturers to bypass the legacy luxury supply chain and deliver luxury goods with equivalent or better quality directly to consumers. Our customers come to rely on Italic for our quality, timeless design, and radical value.**Responsibilities**- Research_- Analyze the psychology of our target customer base- Research the features, benefits, and unique differentiators of each product we advertise- Evaluate competitors and cross-industry trends in terms of concept, style, and other factors- Compile and document reference ads and create a reference library- Designing_- Focus on conversions- Incorporate persuasive elements (scroll stoppers, social proof, guarantees, etc.) into design while upholding polished aesthetics in accordance with brand guidelines- Work with writers to create banners, ads, and/or landing pages that capture readers' attention and convert them into customers- Record and create templates of successful graphics to be able to recreate successful concepts/formats and to inspire the team- Enhance performance of winning ads (variations, optimizations, split tests, animations, new visual hooks, and 3D renders)- Handle design tasks/projects (product labels, product graphics, icons, logos, etc.) as needed- Collaborate with creative strategist to determine how to improve campaign results**Portfolio References**Here are some portfolios, styles, & video examples that we like**Requirements**:- Technical_- 3+ years of professional experience in Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma or equivalent software- Combine relevant aesthetics for our Italic brand with direct response elements- Deep understanding of psychology driving “thumb stopper” advertising to grab attention within 3 seconds- Soft Skills_- Commitment to learn, grow, and contribute to a fast-paced, result-driven team for the long term of at least 3 years.- Low ego and thick skin. Able to take daily critical feedback constructively and iterate to build new tests. Approaches failures as an opportunity to do better.- Passion for your craft, obsession with advertising & performance marketing- Total responsibility for the performance of your ads (If it’s working, ask why & templatize it, if it’s not working, figure out how to fix it)- Strong communication skills. Great team player- Be efficient, complete high-quality, detailed work on time.- Experience_- 3+ years experience with graphic design- 3+ years of experience working with growth or advertising teams, preferably at either consumer brands or agencies- Strong portfolio of ads that have performed well- Must have experience & enjoy running ad design split tests**Culture**- Great Brands Start With Great People_Our culture focuses on performance, integrity, and longevity.
