Lead Build Engineer

Bring your creative technical skills to the table The Lead Build Engineer will improve the Information Services organization’s productivity and quality, performance, tool development, and build & release management. As a lead member of this team, you will help choose commercial and open-source tools and technologies to build and support a professional software engineering environment, with an emphasis on operational self-service and continuous integration. This role will automate CI/CD pipeline, manage build & deployment tools, and provide cloud solutions to improve the build processes for all Driscoll’s internal and vendor-developed systems.**Responsibilities**:**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**- Technical lead in automating manual tasks involved in build and deployment process and cloud infrastructure (AWS) setup- Define & maintain procedures and tools to deliver releases in a repeatable and scalable manner- Review DevOps architecture, identify gaps and develop remediation plans- Lead and drive the implementation of modern standards in DevOps where appropriate- Work with Development and Operations teams to define requirements, solutions and deliverables- Engineer systems and tools to support the build, integration and verification of complex software systems spanning multiple hardware platforms, mobile platforms, and cloud-based services- Collaborate with Information Services delivery team to implement and maintain highly scalable build and release solutions, including continuous delivery, optimization, monitoring, release management, and support for all Driscoll’s systems- Partner closely with Delivery Team to ensure new features and products are delivered to customers seamlessly and efficiently- Responsible for defining and implementing strategies for CI/CD- Contributes to the Business Unit’s people priorities and objectives regarding people leader effectiveness, engaged employees, and enabling others to perform- Domestic and international travel required up to 10%- Represent Driscoll’s in an ethical and business-like professional manner in all interactions with growers, co-workers, suppliers, customers and the business community at large**CANDIDATE PROFILE****Requirements**:- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent- 8+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering- 2+ years of experience in leading or managing teams, large/complex programs, projects- Strong experience in ERP platforms (SAP/Oracle)- 3+ years of experience in cloud platforms such as AWS (Azure & GCP a plus)- Experience in monitoring tools (New Relic)- Strong experience working with VCS tools (Git, SVN)- Exceptional abilities with CI tools (TeamCity, Jenkins) -package deployment tools (Octopus Deploy, uDeploy) -configuration management tools (Chef, Ansible)- Strong scripting skills (Python, Powershell, Shell)- Experience in virtualization and virtualized environments- Experience working with container technology (Docker); Good understanding of container lifecycle management- Exceptional and advanced English communication skills with all levels of organization is required (written, verbal, digital, formal presentations)**Preferred Qualifications & Leadership Competencies**- A valid passport and the ability to travel internationally without restrictions**About Driscolls**:Driscoll's is the global market leader for fresh strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries.
