With years of industry experience and boots on the ground, Redwood is fully integrated with the carriers, people and processes required to move our customers’ freight.See for yourself why The Chicago Tribune has named Redwood Logistics a Top Workplace for several years running**Position Description**:As a **Pricing Representative,** you will be responsible for acting as the point-of-contact for various internal teams to analyze historical data and industry trends to determine pricing on spot quote and high-volume**Responsibilities**:- Accurately and expeditiously provide quotes.- Accountable for the process related to pricing and cost management.- Participate in carrier’s negotiation for new business opportunities.- Identify and analyze the viability of new projects.- Understand the different pricing structures (FSC Factor, %FSC, All in Rates, etc)- Develop knowledge in all modes (FTL, Reefer, Flatbed, LTL, Hazmat and IMDL) and all cross borders.- Analyze Redwood’s quoting process on company-wide and per-account basis to determine and execute innovative methods to continue to win desired business.- Continuously develop departmental metrics/KPIs.- Keep current on industry pricing trends, particularly for dry van and temperature-controlled freight and share it to the commercial department.- Research pricing related issues, providing guidance on potential solutions and impact of solutions.- Identify power lanes to offer more competitive rates.- Use logistics’ s platforms such as: DAT, FMCSA, Freight Waves, Carrier 411 and Truck stop.- Analyze RFQ opportunities individually and be able to customize a pricing strategy.- Prospect and develop new service providers.**Qualifications**:- Strong negotiation, communication, analysis and networking skills- Strong planning and time management skills- Works well independently but as part of a large team effort- Flexibility to quickly adapt to business needs and industry changes- Minimum 1 year experience in carrier sales/procurement role at a freight brokerage or similar environment required**Rewards**:- Life Insurance policy for you starting 30 days after employment.- Personal Health Insurance coverage for you - Major Medical- 30 days “Aguinaldo” Christmas bonus or prorated percentage your first year.- Vacation time starting at 12 days.
