We value and share an infinite range of ideas and voices that evolve and broaden our perspectives with a reach that extends to all our brands, partners, and suppliers.- Must have the experience and skill to independently manage a broad range of matters, reporting to Expert Counsel.- On the LATAM commercial operations side, the role will provide lead support for corporate governance, commercial contracts (drafting and analysis), regulatory matters (notably marketing and advertising), as well as transactions (procurement, logistics, real estate), in Mexico, Colombia, Chile and Peru.- Provide necessary on-the-ground support for litigation and product safety in the countries mentioned above (reporting to, and in coordination with, corresponding Law Dep’t functions in El Segundo).- Support a variety of legal matters for Mattel’s manufacturing operations in Monterrey (Montoi), other supply chain matters (such as procurement, and transportation & logistics)- Coordination of work with outside counsel in the countries mentioned above, as well as budget-management tasks.- To report and collaborate with colleagues in El Segundo on relevant matters (e.g. Litigation team, Data Privacy team, Corp/Securities Team, IP department, Compliance team).**Qualifications**- Bachelor’s degree in Law- 3 - 4.5 years of experience- Analytical thinking, experience within the legal department of a multinational company, specifically in consumer goods, and growing knowledge of applicable laws.- Ability to work with a broad range of clients and understand business objective and understand issues related thereto, and documentation required for contracts.- Technical / drafting experience necessary to support a broad range of contracts, as well as corporate governance.- ** English proficiency** to coordinate with colleagues in El Segundo and otherwise internationally**Additional Information**We are a purpose-driven company aiming to empower the next generation to explore the wonder of childhood and reach their full potential.
