Abercrombie & Kent Travel Group is a leading luxury travel company that owns renowned brands such as Abercrombie & Kent, Crystal, Sanctuary Lodge, Ecoventura, and over 70+ worldwide DMCs (Destination Management Companies). The highly motivated and experienced Sales Director who is part of our team and drives sales growth in Mexico, possesses the below characteristics and traits.

As the Sales Director - MEXICO, you are responsible for promoting the diverse portfolio of Abercrombie & Kent Travel Group brands, including our global DMCs, Expedition Cruise Product (EC), Tour Operating Company (TOC), Small Group Journeys, Wings Over, Ecoventura, and Sanctuary Lodge. Your primary focus will be to increase brand awareness, drive revenue, and establish strong relationships with key clients and partners and support them in confidently promoting the wide array of products.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets for Mexico across the entire Abercrombie & Kent portfolio.
  • Identify and target potential clients, including travel agencies, tour operators, luxury advisors, and other relevant partners, to expand the company's customer base.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring exceptional customer service to maximize customer retention and loyalty.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including marketing, product development, and operations teams, to align sales strategies and ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Keep abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments, providing insights and recommendations to the management team for market positioning and product enhancements.
  • Conduct regular sales meetings, training sessions, and product presentations to educate clients on Abercrombie & Kent Travel Group's offerings and drive sales conversion.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to represent the company and generate leads, while also leveraging networking opportunities to build relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and analysis, providing regular updates to the senior management team on performance, market trends, and sales pipeline.
  • Stay informed about regional regulations, travel requirements, and compliance standards to ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.

Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and influence decision-makers at all levels.
  • Proactive and results-driven mindset, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a proven ability to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools to manage customer relationships and track sales performance.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish. Knowledge of Portuguese is a plus.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Proven track record of at least 5-7 years in sales and business development within the luxury travel industry, with specific experience in promoting high-end travel products.
  • Deep understanding of the Mexican travel market, including key industry players, trends, and customer preferences.
  • Strong network of contacts and relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, luxury advisors, and other relevant stakeholders in Mexico.
