Middle School Substitute Teacher

**The American School Foundation**is seeking a **MIDDLE SCHOOL PERMANENT SUBSTITUTE TEACHER**for the school year.The Teacher must develop and maintain a classroom environment that ensures effective and safe learning and incorporates pedagogical innovations and research. They must employ appropriate teaching methodology to meet established program objectives and be capable of understanding and meeting the needs of students.**Qualifications**:- Bachelor’s degree in education and/or pedagogy from a SEP/UNAM-approved institution with certification (cédula profesional, CENEVAL)**Experience Required**:- Two years of successful teaching experience- Experience in curriculum planning and child development.- **Preferred for the position**:- Bilingual: English and Spanish. - Mandatory, preferable with a C1 certification- Has experience in other international and/or bilingual schools.- Has training in restorative practices or specifically Responsive Classroom- Mexican citizenship**Key Responsibilities**- Previous work with young children and teenagers- Maintain as fully as possible the established routines and procedures of the school and the classroom assigned.- Follow the program and lessons outlined and described in the Substitute Teacher’s Packet as prepared by the absent teacher.- Consult with the Head of School and Academic Dean before initiating any teaching or other procedures not specified in the Substitute Teacher’s Packet.- In the case of a long-term substitution, plan with the Academic Dean and attend the corresponding weekly grade-level meetings.Starting date: As soon as possibleTipo de puesto: Tiempo completoSueldo: A partir de $36,000.00 al mesBeneficios:- Días por enfermedad- Estacionamiento de la empresa- Seguro de gastos médicos- Seguro de gastos médicos mayores- Seguro de la vista- Seguro dental- Seguro de vida- Vales de despensaEscolaridad:- Licenciatura terminada (Deseable)Experiência:- Maestro (a) de secundaria: 2 años (Obligatorio)Idioma:- Inglés avanzado (Obligatorio)Lugar de trabajo: Empleo presencial
