We invite passionate individuals to join our team, dedicated to exceeding customer expectations through innovative and sustainable solutions.Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:- Act as first level escalation point for manufacturing/process issues.- Lead efforts to initiate both temporary and permanent manufacturing changes.- Work with local Flextronics teams and Xylem cross-functional teams to assist toward resolution of production challenges.- Define and implement manufacturing process from new product launch to full release.- Provide and review hourly capacity through cycle time analysis.- Document and maintain process maps and design of floor layout.- Create/ modify/ review manufacturing work instructions.- Assist to maintain previously designed and deployed manufacturing equipment.- Continuously refine and improve manufacturing processes, methods, and metrics to ultimately reduce product cost.- Identify, analyze, root cause, and initiate corrective action when product design failures are uncovered by the test and/or process.- Lead/Partner with LSS (Lean Six Sigma) counterparts for continuous improvement initiatives and cost savings opportunities.- Analyze and quantify data to resolve process, test, and operational issues.- DFx (Design for manufacturability/assembly)Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering- Minimum 3 years of professional experience- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish- Knowledge and experience with Product/Process Engineering- Knowledge of manufacturing assembly processes: soldering (including solder joint characteristics), conformal coating, adhesive bonding, welding, and precision mechanical assembly- Strong understanding of IPC (Institute of Printed Circuit Board) standards- Experience with Design of Experiment (DOE), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Lean Six Sigma concepts.- Strong analytical, technical, problem-solving skills- Must have ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.- Self-motivated; able to demonstrate initiative and operate independently.- Desire and ability to learn new tools and design techniques.- Ability to evaluate and make recommendations on cost control, reliability and manufacturability issues and maintains aggressive development schedules.- Display organizational and leadership skills in a project team environment.Join the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
