Job OverviewThe Resource Manager (RM) role within IQVIA’s Strategy Consulting team is a critical and primary point of contact for IQVIA’s client success. The RM works in partnership with the senior leadership of the Strategy Consulting team to ensure that a cross-functional team is efficiently aligned to projects to meet the demands of business and clients.The RM works closely with each member of the project team to ensure that project roles meet development goals and provide the on-the-job training necessary to build a career in consulting. Optimal resourcing decisions are central to the successful development and retention of the teams.The Resource Manager (RM) role is a fast-paced role where consultants are highly utilized and may frequently work on multiple projects in client driven, results oriented environment. The pressure is high at times to resolve resourcing demands quickly, find creative solutions and make autonomous decisions when necessary.The RM assumes responsibility, innovation and ownership of all the processes regarding our internal operational processes to ensure high quality accordance with SOPs, policies, and best practices.Essential FunctionsWe are looking for an individual who can:- Identify and resource consultants to client projects, business development opportunities, thought leadership and internal initiatives in a fast-paced environment.- Engage with the principals and other senior leaders to understand, plan for and ultimately meet the resourcing demands of their pipeline.- Develop a deep understanding of the development goals of the delivery team through the creation of strong relationships.- Monitor and communicate current and near-term delivery capacity and flag resourcing capability gaps.- Maintain resource management data integrity in the time management system that supports resource and project management decisions.- Manage large quantity of data to spot discrepancy in time reports.- Flag resourcing capability gaps and is able to provide solutions.- Resolve and escalate issues in a professional and timely fashion.- Build strong business relationships and influence with key stakeholders at all levels within the business.- Rapidly assimilate multiple types of information from a variety of sources for effective decision making.Skills and Competencies- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English- Proven problem-solving, time management and organizational skills with attention to details- Competent presentation and interpersonal skills meeting the needs of all levels within the organization- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills- A self-starting mindset with excellent teamwork skills and the ability to work independently if necessary- Prior experience of resource management in a management consulting environment (or related) is a plus- Knowledge of life science consulting is a plusIQVIA is a leading global provider of advanced analytics, technology solutions and clinical research services to the life sciences industry.
