**Electrical Engineer - Durango, Mexico****JOB SUMMARY**:**JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:- Perform technical inspections of electrical work, monitoring the contractor’s quality control program, and reviewing project drawings and specifications to ensure compliance.- Support and assist OBO in ensuring the completion of the project in accordance with contract requirements.- Perform the required contract work in accordance with the design documents.- Review engineering shop drawings and determine if the contractor has complied with the final design parameters.- Observe onsite construction and determine if construction elements are being installed, formed, and executed properly.- Responsible for performing quality assurance tasks, ensuring contractor’s work is properly inspected and corrective actions take place, ensuring materials meet contract, reviewing contractor submittals for compliance with contract requirements, and resolving conflicts.- Monitor the construction contractor’s quality assurance and safety program.- Observe onsite construction and determine if construction elements are being installed, formed and executed properly.- Monitor construction progress vis-à-vis the project schedule and submit weekly progress reports with recommendations base on the technical review of project documents and field inspections.- Perform technical inspections of the Electrical Engineering elements of the project.- Develop working knowledge of all technical requirements of project.- Provide Quality Assurance for ongoing construction project.- Review contractor submittals.- Coordinate the development of Independent Government Estimates (IGEs) for modifications and change orders.- Prepare Monthly Progress Reports and attends meetings summarizing project status with emphasis on engineering.- Other related duties as assigned by the Project Director.**EDUCATION**:- An Electrical Engineer Degree from an accredited university in the United States.**JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS**:- Minimum seven (7) years of experience required on construction projects of similar scope and dollar value to the project supported by this Task Order.- Design office experience shall not count toward an employee’s experience.- Professional Engineering Registration is preferred.- Must possess a final Secret, Interim Top Secret (ITS), or final Top Secret (TS) Clearance issued by Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) at the time of proposal. At the time of deployment to overseas OBO construction sites for performance on this contract, employees shall possess at minimum final Secret Clearance.- Specific experience with high & low voltage equipment, as well as telephone and fire alarm systems desired.- Knowledge of International Codes required.- Experience in assessing and responding to Requests for Information (RFI).- Experience in reviewing and evaluating design calculations and data from an engineering perspective.- Knowledge of Construction Safety regulations, i.e., EM 385-1-1, OSHA, etc.- Knowledge of MS Office Suite, i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, and Word required.- Must be able to read design/construction drawings and be able to understand design narratives and calculations.- Must be a U.S. Citizen**ABOUT THE COMPANY**:**BB&E offers a full and competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision and 401(k).
