YOUR IMPACT: Key Roles and Responsibilities- Supports Design, Release, Validation, and Launch of occupant restraints systems and components for new model vehicle programs- Will support completion of engineering deliverables during all phases of engineering and integration - design concept, production release, validation, product launch- Engage with full-service suppliers in engineering, package, and assembly feasibility for responsible components on time and within cost and weight targets to meet performance objectives- Assist supplier design development to support all Engineering, Production Tool Kick-off, and Build Milestones on time- Support engineering sourcing deliverables with Purchasing, Finance, and Suppliers (Statement of Work (ESOW), Engineering Concepts (EC), Bill of material (FEDEBOM))- Validate designs through the Ford design validation process, resolving all issues in a timely manner- Support delivery of corporate and department TVM and quality objectivesWHAT YOU’LL NEED:**Minimum Qualifications**- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree- Fluent in English, oral and written forms- Self-motivated and results driven- Self-learning curious mindset- Creative and Innovative problem solving**Preferred Qualifications**- Conceptual knowledgeable of analytical and design tools (CAD, CATIA, Teamcenter, GD&T, RSS/DVA studies, FMA/DFMEA, FEA/CAE)- Able to understand medium to complex systems, sewing, mechanisms, inflator technology, injection molding, metal forming, assembly methods- Ability to compile and analyze data in the form of a decision matrix, report summary, etc. to be presented to management team- Training in problem solving disciplines (Six Sigma, Ishikawa)- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings**Behavior and Leadership Qualifications**- Role model teamwork- Integrity, self-driven, highly motivated, and accepting to new challenges- Demonstrated delivery of results- Willingness to coach and be coached by othersDISCLAIMER:Ford Motor Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer, as we are committed with a diverse workforce, and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, status as a veteran and basis of disability.
