They ensure quality and drive safety through scientifically proven materials and unequaled engineering.**THE POSITION**Our client’s collaborative finance team is seeking an experienced and hands-on Plant Controller. This would be a full-time, on-site position located in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico reporting to our Director of Operations Finance and the Chihuahua Site General Manager.**What You Will Do**:The Mexico Plant Controller supports our client’s success by assisting the Finance and Plant Operations teams in accurately tracking and reporting on financial data, allowing the business to accurately track performance against targets and ultimately make data-driven decisions. The Mexico Plant Controller will be directly responsible for the Chihuahua plant site financial operations and will provide support to the Mexicali plant location.**How You Will Do It**:- Prepare monthly plant financial review package.- Manufacturing variances analysis and explanation.- Periodic expenses review with plant management and implement strategies to adjust according to forecasted volume variations.- Identify risks and opportunities.- Prepare plant month end close journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.- Review, validate and approve CAPEX, follow up and monitor committed payback.- CIP follow up and capitalization.- Fixed assets control.- Review, validate, contribute, and approve continues improvement saving projects.- Plants budget and forecast preparation.- Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis for the business as required.- Assist with operations scorecard maintenance.- Monitor plant productivity, utilization, and reporting.- Audit annual and cycle count inventories, approve results in accordance with DOA.- Follow company internal controls, identify gaps and raise concerns to direct supervisor or internal controls corporate office.- Collaborate with other finance areas and other departments within the plant/organization for special projects.- Others as needed.**THE CANDIDATE**- Hold current authorization for employment in Mexico.- The ability to travel several times a year to our location in Chihuahua, Mexico.- Mexican passport and valid USA visitor Visa required.- University Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.- Several years’ experience as a Controller in single or multiple manufacturing locations or strong experience as a Finance Manager in a large or multi-site location.- Strong background in Finance analysis, manufacturing variance analysis, standard cost accounting, inventory control / cycle counting, budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial reporting.- Experience with CAPEX and ROI.- Previous experience with internal controls.- Some knowledge or familiarity with import/export (customs), and basic Mexico tax.- Knowledge of IMMEX and highly prefer some knowledge of manufacturing entities also selling domestically within Mexico.- Familiarity with Oracle ERP (strongly preferred but not required).- Fluent in English and Spanish- Must be a highly adaptable team player.
