Inspired eLearning, LLC**Job Title**Translations Implementation Specialist**Reports to**Translations Team Lead**Classification**Exempt**Department**Content Development**Created**9/1/2021**Updated**- N/A**Summary/Objective**This position is responsible for the implementation of translation assets (text, voice, video, etc) for our eLearning course library. This is a busy, high-volume but friendly environment that will suit an organized person with a great eye for detail.This position will report to the Translations Team Lead and may require working with the Translations Project Manager.**Essential Functions**- Balances multiple projects in a fast-paced environment- Meets tight deadlines- Locates and filters translation/proofreader/voiceover resources- Communications with team and all vendors or contractors as neededManages files - from translation through internal review to final delivery- using internal and external resources- Proofs and edits projects for completeness, formatting accuracy, and linguistic quality- Makes sure content adheres to our quality standards- Localizes content as needed per our dept standards- Applies translations and voiceover to web-based courses utilizing various software**Education and Experience**- Translation Memory/CAT Tools knowledge preferred (We use WordFast) but not required- Knowledge of translation industry standards and best practices preferred but not required- Proven track record of managing complex projects involving external resources- Demonstrated ability to be an intelligent, creative, self-reliant, self-organizing problem solver while working in a team environment- Experience leveraging technology to solve workflow problems and increase efficiency- Strong proofreading skills and thorough knowledge of quality control a must- eLearning experience preferred- Experience with XML, HTML, CSS, and sound/voiceover editing software preferred- Ability to read or write a second language preferred**Competency**- Great organizational and time-management skills- Great attention to detail and a commitment to get the job done right- Strong grammatical, prioritization, communication and collaboration skills- Strong attention to detail- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage and resolve conflict- Ability to articulate learning terminology and processes with non-training personnel- Ability to work successfully with a global, virtual team- Competent with Microsoft Office- Ability to meet deadlines- Strong problem solving skills- Proven ability to maintain a solution driven approach and adapt to new processes, workflows and challenges- Strong fluency in English**Supervisory Responsibilities**NA**Work Environment**Work environment is office-based or remote (at home). Temperature, noise level, and other environmental factors may vary.**Physical Demands**Physical demands are equal to that commonly associated with office work. Majority of work time is spent sitting at desk in front of computer.**Position Type and Expected Hours of Work**Full time position. Company office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am CST - 5 pm CST. Must be available and meet obligations for internal and external customers during standard business hours and as necessary.**Travel**Travel on as-needed basis, but generally no more than 5%.
