We are seeking an innovative, creative, analytical and strategic thinker, who is passionate about digital media and the future of Twitch advertising. The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex problems, works effectively with cross-functional teams and thrives in a fast-paced setting that is constantly evolving. This role will be highly visible with senior levels of Amazon, and will need to work collaboratively with internal management teams to understand where our relative advantages or risks lie, where new market segments and solutions should be created.
As a Sales Specialist, you will develop strategies and solutions to drive adoption of Twitch offering with advertisers and ensure your customers’ investments fit into their overall marketing strategy with Amazon. You will work closely with Account Executives (AEs), Agency Development Managers (ADMs), Go to Market (GTM) specialists, and Amazon Ads Customers. You are naturally curious, and will apply your creativity and curiosity by taking a lead in strategizing Twitch solutions for our advertisers, diving deep within the advertising community to discuss Amazon’s benefits, and working both with internal and external stakeholders to innovate solutions that meet the objectives of our advertising customers. This role will define innovative advertising experiences and coordinate with internal teams to create scalable and repeatable solutions. The ideal candidate should have experience buying, planning, packaging, and selling both directly and programmatically. They will have a strong knowledge of the digital advertising landscape, experience negotiating and closing annual agreements and the ability to drive conversations with C-Suite client contacts. They are comfortable with ambiguity and juggling multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced dynamic environment. They possess high levels of creativity, independence, flexibility and attention to detail.
Key job responsibilities
- Delivering the highest level of sales and customer service to our clients
- Scaling video GTM strategies across our sales team
- Developing and implementing bespoke industry strategies within verticals
- Service and operations team engagement as it pertains to new and emerging products
- Partnering with Sales and Vertical Marketing to develop narratives that differentiate Amazon Ads unique offerings tied to customer objectives and business outcomes
- Representing Amazon Ads externally at industry and client events
A day in the life
You are naturally curious, and will apply your creativity and curiosity by taking a lead in strategizing video solutions for our advertisers, diving deep within the advertising community to discuss Amazon’s benefits, and working both with internal and external stakeholders to innovate solutions that meet the objectives of our advertising customers. This role will define innovative advertising experiences and coordinate with internal teams to create scalable and repeatable solutions. As an individual contributor, you’ll be joining an elite sales organization and will benefit from having direct access to multiple leadership teams. Candidates should have experience buying, planning, packaging, and selling STV both directly and programmatically. Candidates will have a strong knowledge of the STV landscape, experience negotiating and closing annual agreements, and the ability to drive conversations with C-Suite client contacts.
About the team
Video Specialists are aligned to the Large Customer Sales (LCS) organization and work closely with Account Teams, Agency Development Managers (ADMs), Go to Market (GTM) specialists, and Amazon Advertising Customers.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of B2B sales experience
- 7+ years digital advertising experience
- 3+ years of advanced TV/STV advertising experience
- Experience selling various video formats (MS, SS, Sponsorships, Sports)
- Effectively works cross-functionally (AE, Sales Leadership, Yield, Product, Measurement)
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience building and deploying GTM strategies, with an emphasis on packaging, positioning and messaging.
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal), including the ability to present complex topics both in person, over the phone, and through concise document writing
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience negotiating Video Upfronts at agency and Brand level
- STV/TV measurement proficiency
- Experience building and executing product and sales strategies across teams
- Experience launching a nascent product or service
- Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously while defining and delivering priorities amidst ambiguity
