Zimmer Group is one of the worldwide leading manufacturers and distributors of automation components and system solutions for Handling technology, Damping technology, Linear technology, Process technology, Machine Tooling technology, and System technology.
We are looking for an Inside Sales / Application Engineer working to further develop our business in the automation industry in Mexico. Our new colleague is expected to assist the day-to-day sales operations of the company and provide technical service and application support to our customers, distribution partners and local sales team. This position will be located in Queretaro, Mexico.
- Assist day-to-day sales and connected operational activities with assigned customers. Prepare and follow up on quotations.
- Develop and enhance relationships with established customers, distributors, and prospects.
- Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold initiatives.
- Travel with or without a regional sales manager to provide technical assistance on sales calls to prospects, dealers, and customers (OEMs, Key-Customers, Target accounts).
- Provide high-level technical support to external customers on the phone and at their location.
- Work closely with the Managing Director/Director of Sales to achieve set forecasts and sales objec-tives.
- Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in sales for industrial products focusing on assembly, automa-tion, and robotics.
- Track record of accountability and achievement of sales objectives.
- Preparation of account development plans and meeting reports.
- Self-motivated, highly organized individual.
- Solid proficiency with MS Office and CRM software.
- University degree in Engineering or comparable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (must).
