We are currently seeking a Middleware (Web/App Servers) SME Lead to join our team in Mexico, México (MX-MEX), Mexico (MX).
Job Description - MW (Web/App Servers) SME Lead
Short Role Description: The Middleware Lead Engineer will be responsible for ensuring seamless integration and communication between different software systems, specializing in the development, deployment, and management of middleware technologies.
Day to Day Job Duties:
  • Setting up and configuring middleware technologies like WebSphere, Apache Tomcat, WebLogic, Java Web Server, JBoss, IIS MQ Series, RabbitMQ.
  • Optimizing middleware components to improve the performance of applications and services.
  • Monitoring middleware environments to detect and resolve performance or functionality issues.
  • Regularly updating middleware systems to fix bugs, close security vulnerabilities, and improve functionality.

Basic Qualifications:
  • 6 years overall IT experience with at least 3 years' experience in leading Middleware Support team for a large data center.
  • 4 Years of experience in application Middleware administration/support in technologies related to the web (Java, WebLogic, WebSphere, MQ, IHS, IIS, Tomcat, Apache, Unix etc.)
  • Complete installation/migration/up-gradation of Websphere, JBOSS and jdk on AIX/Linux/Solaris.
  • Experience in installation of Websphere/Weblogic/JBoss in high availability environment.
  • Writing scripts for clearing logs, monitoring server performance, Restarting JVMs, supporting distributed data changes etc.
  • Experience in a Linux / UNIX / Windows distributed enterprise environment is required.
  • Experience managing upgrading and patching other middleware deployments is required.
  • Awareness about different flavors of cloud, Middleware performance management, automation of different middleware activities, scripting & Dev-ops concepts.
  • Mentoring and training capabilities to junior level staff.
  • Experience in supporting external customer facing websites.
  • Experience with tools like Remedy, ServiceNow, JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint, and understanding of ITIL concepts and Agile methodology.
  • Excellent communication skills, inter-personal skills including strong facilitation and coordination skills.
  • High level of initiative and ownership mentality.

Travel: No travel. Preferred location is East coast or Midwest.
Degree: Bachelor's in computer science or related field.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience in some of these technologies preferred: App Dynamics, Active Directory, load balancer, Internet Web Caching, Web Analytics, Source control.
  • Understanding of the application and web security controls, TCP/IP concepts, firewalls, and database preferred.
  • Experience with batch scheduling.
  • Experience with automation tools.
