Cloud Architect Job Description We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to design and build scalable, secure, and efficient cloud infrastructure. Develop multi-environment infrastructure using GKE, CloudSQL, Confluent, Temporal, and Cloudflare with Terraform modules and remote state. Design a deployment automation strategy including CLI orchestration and Helm releases to keep clusters converged deterministically across environments. Create automated drift detection, IAM regression suites, and compliance guardrails for infrastructure reliability. Owning the CUE-based configuration system that exports Compose stacks, environment templates, secrets, and Helm values. Shape environment parity and portability by abstracting provider specifics behind clear interfaces to reduce lock-in and enable repeatable deployments across clouds. Standardize vendor-neutral telemetry with OpenTelemetry and consistent log/metric conventions. Establish portable identity patterns that translate across providers. Mentor senior engineers, codify expectations in documentation and tooling, and steward technical decisions across tribes. Requirements Achieve technical depth and set standards for reproducibility, reliability, and cloud portability across every environment. Experience with GKE, CloudSQL, Confluent, Temporal, and Cloudflare. Familiarity with Terraform modules and remote state. Ability to design deployment automation strategy. Knowledge of IAM regression suites and compliance guardrails. Understanding of CUE-based configuration systems. Experience with vendor-neutral telemetry. Ability to establish portable identity patterns. Strong communication and mentoring skills.
