**Remote Accountant**BMG Virtual is actively seeking a skilled Remote Accountant with expertise in financial regulations to join our finance team. This remote position is ideal for a detail-oriented and organized professional adept at navigating both local and international accounting landscapes. The role demands precision and a proactive approach to managing financial records and compliance.**Job Qualifications**:- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with a strong background in Mexican financial laws.- CPA or similar certification is highly regarded.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.- Experienced with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar.- In-depth understanding of Mexican regulations including Pago de IMSS, INFONAVIT, FONACOT, ISR, and SAT.- Experience in handling international transactions and understanding of cross-border financial operations.- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.- High degree of autonomy with the capability to effectively work remotely.**Responsibilities**:- Prepare accurate monthly financial statements along with periodic compliance reports.- Manage all aspects of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring adherence to Mexican financial laws.- Conduct detailed ledger maintenance and reconciliation.- Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with both Mexican and applicable international tax laws.- Assist with financial audits and perform regular statutory filings, focusing on compliance with IMSS, INFONAVIT, and other local regulatory bodies.- Budgeting and Forecasting:- Assist in the preparation of budgets and monitor financial performance, suggesting adjustments as necessary.- Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accurate handling according to local laws.- Ensure correct calculation and payment of employee benefits and contributions to IMSS and INFONAVIT.**Salary**: USD$10 per hour**Benefits**: 15 days of PTO**Schedule**: 7:30am -4pm ESTPay: $192.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekApplication Question(s):- Are you 100% comfortable working remotely?- Is your resume submitted in English?
