Senior Manager - IT Product Management (Technical Product Manager)

Mercer is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Mexico City office and be onsite 3 days a week: Technical Product Manager.

We will count on you to:

  • Partner with business leaders, product owners and domain architects to create and execute a multiyear vision for your portfolio of applications.
  • Manage the portfolio budget and drive responsible development, which is defined as on-time and on-budget development of new capabilities aligned to enterprise standards.
  • Provide ongoing management of those applications in partnership with MMC shared service leaders.
  • Balance Change the business (CTB) and Run the Business (RTB) spend across the portfolio including planning around the application life cycle.
  • Consider the impact of pricing versus cost structure and the related impact to technology roadmaps.
  • Proactively identify new technologies available in the marketplace to address specific business needs within your area of ownership.
  • Provide a single point of accountability for customizations or variations needed by geography, business line, or department with the goal of avoiding custom solutions that create excess complexity and increase MMC's cost burden.
  • Partner with business Product Owners in order to ensure product backlogs prioritize information security requirements and technical debt reduction.
  • Work closely with shared service leaders with respect to incident escalation/communication and with Product Owners to prioritize related remediation development work.
  • Work with clients and vendors (usually in conjunction with client teams) to support the sales cycle custom implementations, linkages to third-party services, and similar requirements.

What you need to have:

  • Proven experience in managing the technology strategy of one or more products.
  • Thorough and broad understanding of technology and how it can be used to solve business problems.
  • Strong experience of working in a senior leadership position and in partnering with senior business leaders in order to define strategies and product roadmaps.
  • Experience in technology strategy and roadmap planning together with related budgeting.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization with the ability to present effectively to senior business leaders.
  • Solid understanding of security, privacy and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (C1 level).

What makes you stand out?

  • Any of the certifications: TOGAF, ITIL, PMP, Prince2, MSP, CISSP.
