We provide consumer loans, and our mission is to make life easier by offering simple and personalized financial solutions to everyday Mexicans.Our organizational purpose is to build a better world through financial inclusion, and we see the role **Legal and Compliance Leader**as being critical in shaping and persevering our organizational culture that is centred around our purpose.At IPF Digital we are committed to promoting strategies that help us maintain a balance between our personal and work lives, where each of our employees feels motivated and is reflected in business results.You'll join a highly engaged team ready to help you make your adaptation very easy and simple, and together achieve goals.**The role**Support to the head of legal and compliance in regulatory, operational, contractual and compliance matters as well as prepare legal documents to help the company to continue its operations and launch new products.**The responsibilities**- Create, review, and negotiate different kind of legal documents to ensure the operations of the company as well as the applicable to new and existing products.- Understand the regulatory environment around a commercial entity that grants credits as well as the regulation applicable to the financial system in Mexico.- Understand of digital services and its corresponding laws and provisions which are applicable to the different products/services of the company especially customer journeys.- Understand applicable laws, regulations, and judicial decisions, and follow legislative changes that may affect the company and its customers.- Be able to prepare responses to official notices, attend hearings before authorities, especially the Consumer Protection Agency.- Managing the cooperation with law firms, notaries, etc.- Ensure appropriate controls and plans are in place to manage and mitigate compliance risks to the business.- Coordinating and supporting compliance testing process and developing improvement plans against identified gaps in agreement with business functions- Managing and mitigating legal compliance risks across IPF Digital México and keeping issue register up to date.- Active hands-on involvement in the development of best practice and a proactive approach anticipating legal problems and providing solutions.- Provide support with policies and procedures to ensure compliance.- Complete legal and compliance administrative tasks and activities (reporting on compliance and making recommendations for next steps).- Constantly looking at ways to improve compliance frameworks to ensure relevance of controls along with business growth.- Assist with the set-up of controls and process improvements for IPF Digital México.**So, what skills, knowledge, and experience do you have?****Skills**- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including English)- Well organized and willing to take ownership.- Analytical skills.- Good influencing and negotiation skills.- Attention to detail.- Drafting capabilities.**Knowledge & Experience**- Sound knowledge of Mexican Civil, Commercial, Corporate, Consumer protection, Intellectual Property and Financing laws.- Experience in managing regulatory and compliance matters.- Understanding consumer lending, payment services models and e commerce challenges and environment.- 4 years minimum experience in a financial entity or reputable law firm in charge of the topics expressed in the current role profile.- Experience of contract negotiation and review.- Experience with financial authorities.- Experience with Profeco.- Ability to set up and execute a compliance framework.**Qualifications**- Post-graduate qualification in financial law - Desirable- Degree in Law.- **What we can offer you**?- Work with the best team in a startup environment.- Hybrid working model.- Work Leave Permissions additional to the Law.- Work Life Balance Program with different initiatives.- Free Lunch once per week.- Various team building events throughout the year.- Unlimited online Medical Attention, Psychological and Nutritional Advisory.- Self - care.**Sounds good?**If your answer is yes, please send us your CV.IPF Digital México is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and we value diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
