This role involves coordinating the movement of goods, managing inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery to customers. The Logistics Supervisor develops and implements logistics strategies, performs a cycle count strategy, replenishes raw materials on the production lines, monitors performance metrics, and identifies opportunities for process improvements. Key responsibilities include supervising logistics staff, negotiating with transportation providers, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.**Responsibilities**:inventory Management- Oversee the organization and tracking of inventory levels (cycle counts)- Monitor and analyze inventory reports- Implement inventory control measures to minimize loss or damageShipping and Receiving- Coordinate with carriers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods- Inspect incoming shipments for quality and accuracy- Manage the loading and unloading of trucksScheduling and Planning- Create and maintain a schedule for incoming and outgoing shipments- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of materials- Plan and optimize transportation routes for maximum efficiencyDocumentation and Record Keeping- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all logistics activities- Prepare and submit reports to upper management- Ensure compliance with all legal and safety regulationsCost Management- Monitor and analyze logistics costs- Identify areas for cost savings and implement cost saving measures- Negotiate contracts with carriers and suppliers to secure favorable pricing.Continuous Improvement- Identify areas for improvement in logistics processes- Implement new strategies and technologies to increase efficiency and reduce costs- Conduct regular reviews and evaluations to measure the effectiveness of implemented changes.Team Management:- Understand team dynamics and effective management practices.
