**Summary of Duties**Under the leadership of the Consul and the Mission Administrator, the **Leasing and Relocation Manager** plays a pivotal role in managing the residential portfolio supporting Canada’s diplomatic presence in Mexico. This position oversees more than 70 leased residential properties for diplomatic officers, ensuring that each home meets the standards of comfort, safety, and functionality expected by the Government of Canada.In addition to the residential portfolio, the incumbent is also responsible for lease management of the Chancery Annex and the seven Consular Agencies located throughout Mexico, ensuring that all mission properties are efficiently managed, compliant with lease obligations, and maintained to operational standards.In this role, the Manager maintains strong working relationships with landlords, ensuring that maintenance and repairs are carried out promptly and to required standards. They act as the primary liaison between tenants, property owners, and service providers—responding to client inquiries, resolving issues with practical and timely solutions, and maintaining a high level of client satisfaction.The **Leasing and Relocation Manager** also oversees the strategic management of the housing portfolio, monitoring lease terms and conditions, and recommending renewals, renegotiations, or terminations as appropriate. They lead the search for potential new properties, manage negotiations, and prepare and review lease agreements to secure favorable terms for the Government of Canada.During relocation periods, the Manager coordinates across multiple internal teams and external contractors to ensure that each residence is properly inspected, maintained, and prepared for incoming diplomats. This includes organizing maintenance, overseeing cleaning and furnishing, and performing quality assurance reviews to guarantee readiness before occupancy.By combining operational oversight, negotiation skills, and client service excellence, the Leasing and Relocation Manager ensures that Canada’s diplomatic staff are well supported and that the mission’s entire property portfolio—residential, chancery, and consular—remains efficient, responsive, and aligned with organizational needs.**Area of selection / Eligibility**This position is open to any person currently residing and legally able to work in Mexico.**How to Apply****Essential qualifications ****Education**- *Valid documents include: “título”, “cédula”, or an academic record/official letter confirming that 100% of university courses have been completed _**Language**- Intermediate written and spoken proficiency in English OR French, AND Spanish (similar to B2 or higher in the Common European Framework of Reference - CEFR)**Experience**- Minimum 2 years of experience working for a private or public organization in property management & maintenance- Experience in Project Management (e.g. constructions, renovations, maintenance)- Experience in Procurement and Contracting (e.g. hiring contractors, leasing property)**Job Types**: Full-time, TemporaryContract length: 6 monthsPay: $681,357.00 per yearWork Location: In person
