Overview General Manager (Manufacturing Operations) – State of Mexico, Mexico We are partnering with a European industrial organization to recruit a highly experienced General Manager to lead country operations in Mexico. The ideal candidate is an operationally focused leader with deep experience in high-volume, low-margin manufacturing environments , preferably with exposure to plastics processing , injection molding, or similarly fast-paced production settings. This role requires someone who understands the demands of a 24/7 operation , thrives in low-cycle-time environments, and can strengthen performance, culture, and output across the organization. About the Role The General Manager will oversee the full P&L and operational performance of a large manufacturing site, leading a multi-disciplinary team across production, commercial operations, finance, HR, quality, and IT. The mandate is to ensure stability, efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement while driving the next phase of operational excellence. This leader will be responsible for evolving the plant’s organizational structure, optimizing processes, developing talent, and elevating the site's operational standards in alignment with global expectations. Key Responsibilities Lead the full business unit with end-to-end P&L accountability Oversee daily operations to ensure products are manufactured on time, in full, and to required specifications Manage a 24/7 production cycle with low cycle times and high-output requirements Improve OEE, reduce scrap, and strengthen operational KPIs Oversee production planning, scheduling, maintenance, warehousing, and raw material flow Build and develop high-performing teams and foster a culture of accountability and collaboration Drive strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and new product introductions Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and governance standards Lead budget planning, forecasting, and cost optimization initiatives Ideal Profile 5+ years of experience as a General Manager or operations leader within a mid-size industrial or manufacturing organization Educational background in Engineering or Technical field; plus relevant professional training Strong background in high-volume, low-margin manufacturing Hands-on operational expertise with 24/7 production environments Experience with plastics, injection molding, compression molding, or similar processes preferred Proven success improving operations performance (OEE, quality, cost, output) Experience leading teams of 50+ in a manufacturing setting Strong strategic thinking paired with an entrepreneurial, solution-oriented mindset Business Professional Level English and Spanish communication skills required Comfort working in a fast-scaling, performance-driven manufacturing environment We are looking for an exceptional General Manager for Latin America (LATAM). Reporting to the VP Sales, you will drive sales and business development across the region, focusing on Communication Service Providers, Utilities, Transportation, and Government sectors. You’ll lead a high-performing sales team, build strong customer relationships, and develop strategic partnerships to support growth targets. Responsibilities (Sales & Market Focus) Reach & Exceed Annual Sales: Product, Services & Maintenance Develop Sales activities in the relevant region to achieve aggressive annual growth Acquire new customers while maximizing the business potential of the Installed Based Experience in direct and indirect (via channels) sales Customers Establish strong relationships with customers Develop partnerships to prepare and enable scalability Established industry contacts and strong rolodex of customers in region, primarily in Telmex, Total Play, Claro, ETB, Millicom, Ufinet and Utilities like Enel, EPM, AES. Reach high customer satisfaction Leadership Lead the Sales Team to overachievement through professional excellence, clear and repeatable sales processes and forecasting accuracy. Managing a team of Sales and Pre-sale Engineers. Business Stay up to date on Market, Business and Macro-Economy trends Stay permanently updated on Competitors Define appropriate offering for the addressed market Reviews and Reports Quarterly business reviews and annual sales plan and strategy Weekly Pipeline Review Weekly Bookings & Revenues Forecast Requirements Extensive sales experience in the relevant region – LATAM Strong experience in selling telecom solutions Proven successful experience in selling at CxO level Extensive experience in sales for SPs/Telcos in the relevant regions Extensive experience in sales for Government and for Utility sectors in the relevant regions Updated relevant connections in the Utilities, Government & in the SPs industry in the relevant regions Proficient in Spanish English – high professional level Knowledge of other languages spoken in the relevant regions – advantage Negotiation abilities Leadership and assertiveness #J-18808-Ljbffr
