The RoleAs a Sales Engineer, you’ll ensure that our software meets customer requirements. You will obtain system specifications from existing and potential customers to ensure that the system can be configured appropriately for their business needs. You will address questions and concerns from potential customers during sales presentations and assists with software demonstrations. You will collaborate with Engineering, Sales, Customer Service, and integration partners to ensure that customers experience an extremely high level of satisfaction with Company products and services. The Sales Engineering team works closely with U.S. Domestic Sales representatives, their prospects, and customers to conduct detailed product demonstrations, technical presentations, and sales presentations.What You’ll DoRecognize opportunities for upselling during the discovery process.- Provide technical pre-sales support and presentations to assist prospects and customers with hardware and software requirements and integration planning.- Create, manage and maintain sales demonstration data for all Solera Omnitracs products, including support for customized PowerPoint presentations, screenshots, etc.;- Assists the Sales department by participating in software demonstrations.- Assist with delivery and presentation of study results through various means, which may include on-site presentation of results, demonstration of Solera Omnitracs products with customer data, and documentation of results in a professional manner.- Serve as a liaison between customers and Engineering, Sales, and Customer Service staff.- Assist with software problems and technical issues.- Gather requirements and specifications to resolve customer requests for enhancements.- Analyze customer requirements and works with Product Management to determine whether the requirements can be provided.- Support in training internal staff members on system features, functionality, and modules/integrations.- Serve as a liaison between customers and Product Management.- Use analytical skills when confronted with issues and problems.What You’ll Bring- Adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment,- High degree of initiative, sound independent judgment, and problem-solving skills- Provide customer service and problem-solving skills,- Strong verbal and written communication, including public speaking and presentation skills,- Superior organizational skills and strong attention to detail,- Capable of working independently, with mínimal supervision in a team-oriented environment,- Previous experience with a transportation management solution or routing software is an asset but is not required,Results-oriented team player with a “can-do” attitude, hands-on approach, and ability to interface effectively with all types of resources and accounts,- It is impossible to list every requirement for, or responsibility of, any position.
