Financial Assurance Analyst

Overview:The**Financial Assurance Senior Representative** is primarily responsible for facilitating the various aspects of compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements for the global GM Financial organization. The Senior Representative will complete work in accordance with applicable methodology (including considerations for the General Motors approach where applicable) and standards, defined plans, budgets, and schedules. This role also participates in company projects as needed to assess impact to internal controls over financial reporting.**Location**: Monterrey, MX**Responsibilities**:- Develop and execute SOX testing with supervision, including assessing process risks, documenting business processes, and identifying and evaluating the design and operation of controls.- Assist Financial Assurance management with periodic follow-up on the status of implementation of action plans through interaction with management; perform remediation testing.- Build effective working relationships with team members, all levels of management, and the external audit team.- Report to work as scheduled.- Perform other duties as assigned- Conform with all company policies and proceduresQualifications:- Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX)- Bachelor degree is required (Accounting, Finance or equivalent)- CPA, CIA or local country equivalent is preferred- Fluent English skills (will be evaluated during interview)- Work of experience of 1-2 years in related fields such as accounting, audit, SOX, internal controls, etc.- Knowledge of work-paper software and data mining tools- Working knowledge in analysis and presentation of data- Knowledge of generally accepted auditing standards- Knowledge of fraud risk factors and schemes- General understanding of information technology processes- Working knowledge of COSO framework.- Working knowledge of finance/lending operations- Ability to execute test programs and other tasks with supervision- Strong focus on providing quality service to internal and external customers- Limited travel may be required to support business needs**Skills**- Self motivated- Able to work independently and as a member of a team- Knowledge of computer skills, Microsoft Office and related software- Deadline & deadline oriented- Good communication, written and verbal skills- Analytical skills- Ability to exercise judgment- Good Business Acumen- Professional skepticism- Committed to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion values; Work to create an environment that is safe and welcoming for all**#LI-IE1**Disclaimer: Mexico - GM Financial is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to diversity and inclusion at every level of our organization.
