Finance Analyst

This position is part of the VSSM area and is based at Mexico City Headquarters.- Main objective is to achieve or improve HQ SC budget & forecast targets and identify cost savings opportunities.- Structural cost analysis and control of the GMM’s centralized departments which are included in the NSC (National Sales Company) and structural cost analysis to assure the reliability of the financial information.- Responsible for the elaboration reports, charts or special analyst to support the executive members decision.- Should focus on reaching the structural cost targets, by monitoring and reporting the financial information with strong internal controls and complying with Sarbanes-Oxley.- Attend Auditors Requests.- Authorize requisitions, purchase orders and check requests.- Responsible to elaborate the manual journal entries, accruals, reclassification, accounts reconciliations.- Excellent communication as business partner with different NSC areas.- Financial and accounting support to the business planners.**Additional Job Description**:**Hybrid**: This position requires to work 3 days on site 2 days at home remote on a full-time basis.**Key skills**- Strong financial and accounting background.- Accounting entries and manual journal vouchers preparation.- Account reconciliations and reserves provisions.- Comprehensive knowledge of financial statements: income statement and balance sheet, including their components.- Experience in corporate finance, budgeting, and forecasting.- Understanding of key financial metric**Knowledge**:Accounting and administrative knowledge, financial Information analysis and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).Preferred: SAP, Forecasting systems (GAPS, GEPS, GFCTS), Purchasing orders (Ariba), Hyperion, Power BI, Knime.**Skills**:Organized, Advance Written and Oral Communications, Interpersonal Skills, Negotiation.**Experience/Education**:Bachelor's degree in public accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.Preferred Experience: performing budgets and forecast.1-2 years of relevant experienceLanguages: English (Advanced).**Competencies**:Innovation, Problem solving, Drive for Results, Customer Focus,**_Functional/Technical Competencies: _**Budget and Forecast processAccountingAccounts payableAccounts receivableIn case you need any reasonable adjustment to continue with your process, let your recruiter know.General Motors is committed to being a workplace that is not only free of unlawful discrimination, but one that genuinely fosters inclusion and belonging.
