We are looking for a Battery Development Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development of batteries for our clients revolutionary flying cars and cargo drones. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the entire process, from examining battery mechanism specifications to obtaining type certification through safety analysis and design studies. Your work will involve collaboration with partners, conducting tests and analysis, and building relationships to ensure the highest standards of quality and reliability. **Paid relocation to Japan with VISA Support**This is a remote position across EMEA.**Key Responsibilities**:- Analyze battery mechanism specifications and prepare required specifications in alignment with airframe system requirements.- Coordinate with partners for design and production, conducting bonding tests and analysis with the airframe system.- Compile evidence such as safety analysis (FTA, FMEA, etc.) and design studies/evaluation results to obtain type certification.- Select chargers and design interfaces between chargers and aircraft.- Build and maintain relationships with partners, implementing partner selection, control, and quality audits.**Additional Details**:In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the creation of groundbreaking technology in a collaborative environment. This is a unique opportunity to experience the satisfaction of creating something truly innovative.**Essential Skills**:- Minimum 3 years of experience in battery development, specializing in areas such as cell or cell material development, and mechanical components related to battery packs and systems.**Desirable Skills**:- Understanding of requirement breakdown and traceability to battery component requirements.- Ability to design batteries and prepare evaluation plans.- Experience in battery analysis and evaluation, with the ability to produce independent data on characteristics.- Experience in developing batteries for electric vehicles (XEVs) or novel products.- Familiarity with battery prototyping facilities, performance evaluation equipment, and safety test equipment.- Proficiency in using 3D CAD software for battery development.
