Engineer will perform detailed analysis of individual vehicle level bill of materials (BOM). This will include the following:Work with Weight Management Lead and Design Release Engineers to ensure all parts are included in the corporate EBOM system (electronic bill of materials)Work with team to ensure correct weights are applied to each part within the EBOMPerform cross comparisons of EBOM across similar vehicle lines to rationalize part lists and weightsDirectly interacts with Product Development and actions tied with Manufacturing Production. Responsible for the creation and maintenance of the production bill of material in both the EBOM and CoDeP systems. The system data is extremely critical to the industrial operations of Stellantis. However, the analysis that leads to the input is critical to determining what the input should be. To be effective, the analyst must learn the vehicles by understanding the systems and components that it takes to build them and how they are configured for sale. The analyst must be a skilled communicator as discussions with product engineers, purchasing, manufacturing, product planning, and other organizations' representatives are critical to doing the job correctly.
