In this hands-on leadership role, you'll be responsible for the technical direction of prompt engineering efforts, coaching team members, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality AI solutions. You'll work at the intersection of AI technology and practical implementation, driving innovation while maintaining operational excellence.**What you’ll do**:- Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of Prompt Evaluation Associates.- Develop advanced prompt engineering strategies and frameworks to optimize AI performance.- Create and implement standards for prompt design, testing, and iteration.- Craft, test, and improve AI prompts for data generation, automated evaluations, and Google production features.- Review and approve prompts before implementation in production environments.- Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to align prompt engineering with product goals.- Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements in the prompt development process.- Train and mentor team members on best practices in prompt engineering and LLM optimization.- Stay current with the latest developments in AI and prompt engineering to maintain competitive advantage.- Lead the crafting, testing, and improvement of AI prompts for data generation, automated evaluations, and production features.- Oversee data analysis and contribute to algorithm improvements.- Guide the team in identifying, diagnosing, and reporting software issues, providing actionable results.- Ensure team members document configurations and provide detailed explanations for reference.**Requirements**:**What We’re Looking For**:- Proven experience in AI, machine learning, or related technical fields, with 5+ years in the industry and 3+ years leading teams or providing technical mentorship.- Strong expertise in prompt engineering for Large Language Models (LLMs) and demonstrated use of generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude).- Advanced proficiency in Python, along with solid experience in data analysis, performance measurement, and contributing to algorithm development.- Ability to lead by example, offering hands-on technical guidance while fostering a culture of continuous learning and team development.- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a methodical, detail-oriented approach while keeping focus on broader objectives.- Outstanding communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, and collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams and stakeholders.- Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment, with strong attention to detail and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.- A genuine passion for AI, machine learning, and emerging technologies.- Fluency in English (verbal and written) is required.**Desirable Qualifications**- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.- Experience with localization, classifiers, or search quality rating.- Familiarity with annotation platforms, QA systems, or similar tooling.**Additional information**:
