Quality Engineer

Blue Yonder Job Title:Quality EngineerOverview:The Development and Support Services (DSS) team within Blue Yonder operates globally with over 150 team members in the US, India, UK, Belgium, and Australia. We are seeking a Quality Engineer with a strong testing foundation to work with our quality team to ensure the overall quality of the BlueYonder retail product. The Quality Engineer is tasked with creating documentation, devising quality tests, and defining the criteria a test result should meet.Scope:- Core responsibilities include: Develops and maintains test cases for a relevant product. Develops and maintains test data for a product. Executes the test cases and scenarios of all major modules and publishes the results. Writes and maintains the test automation scripts. Reviews automated and manual tests and suggests options to improve coverage and quality.- Development methodologies may differ based on the scope of the projects; however, all rely on collaborative communication. This includes interaction with internal team members for the reviews of development designs, creation of testing timeline plans, and reporting of testing status as well as discussions with the technical leads directly for clarifications of needs, value expected, or obtaining feedback via development demonstrations.- This position will be focused on working with our teams involved in development for the Blue Yonder Retail product suite.What you’ll do : (Responsibilities)- Develops and maintains test cases for a relevant product. Develops and maintains test data for a product. Executes the test cases and scenarios of all major modules and publishes the results. Writes and maintains the test scripts. Reviews manual tests and suggests options to improve coverage and quality.- Identifies and implements quality improvement suggestions within the team. Identifies and reports software defects in an appropriate manner and follows the defined defect lifecycle.- Works as required with appropriate parties to plan test resource requirements.- Provides required inputs in the planning and execution of system and regression testing.- Understands business requirements provided.- Follows standard development processes and procedures.- Plans and prioritizes work tasks with input from their manager.- Proactively notifies managers of impairments to commitments.- Assists in the collection of test metrics, understands the trends, and suggest appropriate corrective actions.- Participates with the entire team in setting the quality standards for a product.- Provides guidance and feedback to testing team members.What we are looking for : (Qualifications)- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Equivalent- Strong knowledge of relevant software, quality assurance methods, tools, and quality manufacturing processes- Communication skills- Knowledge of the organization’s product- Attention to detail- Analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills- 2-3 years testing experience working with teams in a waterfall or agile methodology- Experience in manual testing- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- oBasic SQL skills**Our Values**If you want to know the heart of a company, take a look at their values.
