**Career Area:**:Administrative Support**Job Description:**:**Job description**:As a Program Specialist at Caterpillar, the incumbent will coach and lead project teams involving Supply Chain professionals, suppliers and business division to increase supplier capability, aiming at improving supplier performance standards and delivering OPACC savings for the enterprise.**Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to**:- This position works with suppliers to build lean supply chain capability in the areas of material replenishment to business divisions, improved Sales and Operations Planning, high-velocity throughput, optimized logistics and capacity planning. This position works on project teams comprised of multi-functional resources, including business division supply chain planning, Operations, Global Transportation, Demand and Orders, Material Requirements Planning and Logistics.- This position participates in lean events and works collaboratively with internal or external suppliers and multiple business division functions to address and resolve supplier issues using root cause and corrective action (RCCA).- The incumbent performs tactical work to develop supplier value stream maps and to develop supplier plans for every part (PFEP). This position works on project teams improving material flow and preparing suppliers to respond to pull triggers.- This position addresses day-to-day supplier constraints to improve supplier performance and their ability to flexibly and rapidly respond to Caterpillar requirements.- The incumbent performs work to deploy pull replenishment at supplier facilities, including supplier inventory sizing activities. The incumbent performs the Supply Chain Planning Process with suppliers, providing support to project teams.- Incumbent works on projects to implement improved supplier collaboration with Caterpillar and third party service providers using common collaboration technologies.- Incumbent supports and facilitates supplier interaction with business division packaging and transportation resources to optimize packaging, containerization, point of use presentation, barcode labelling, ASN compliance, enhanced communications related to quality improvements, and improving carrier selection and transportation container optimization.- To improve OPACC, the incumbent will drive changes to the extended Caterpillar supply chain**Qualifications**:- Fluent English and Spanish speaking- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree with minimum 15 years’ experience in supply chain planning, demand and orders, logistics, purchasing and manufacturing positions- APICS CPIM, CSCP, Black Belt or any other Quality or Purchasing professional Certification- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, understanding of After-market supply chain and systems- Solid product knowledge with thorough understanding of company policies and procedures, especially those with supplier impact.- Strong customer focus, very good planning, organizing, interpersonal and coordination skills.- Knowledge and understanding of project management principles- Advanced skills on Microsoft, databases, and software systems- Excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.- SAP knowledge- Understanding ERP systems’ lead time elements (supply chain, manufacturing and marketing)- Ability to work with cross functional teams globally- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills throughout the Cat network, such as global facilities, transportation organizations, marketing, accounting, etc.- Extensive end-to-end supply base understanding, including customers and dealers- Thorough understanding of company policies and procedures, especially those with supplier impact**All qualified individuals - Including minorities, females, and individuals with disabilities - are encouraged to apply.**Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EEO).Not ready to apply?
