The Procurement Buyer provides category and strategic support to one of the majors spend categories. This position is responsible to manage raw materials regionally. This position typically reports to a Procurement Manager or Sr. Procurement Manager.**Responsibilities**:Lead by example the regional and global safety and ethical initiatives.- Manages day-to-day activities within designated supplier relationships for existing suppliers in their assigned categories.- Manages service level and quality complaint resolution as required for existing supplier base.- Identifies, communicates, and supports process improvements for materials or services in assigned areas and with key stakeholders as required.- Uses Sourcing strategy processes and tools to effectively manage assigned sub-categories.- Responsible for execution and proposing sourcing strategies and savings projects within assigned sub-categories.- Acts as second line of defense in expediting orders to ensure adherence to contracted delivery terms and investigates and resolves problems as required.- Identifies alternate suppliers and/or alternate materials/processes and drives approval process.- Owns contract process for assigned category. Responsibility for ensuring contracts within the category is updated, accurate, and uploaded in the required contract system.- Responsible for financial reporting of savings projects and headwinds. Manages the tight materials process to ensure security of supply.- Support Symrise’s quality systems through engagement with suppliers to work toward successful corrective action resolution and continued quality.- Leads savings projects, Sourcing strategy process or other initiatives that supports achieving team goals.- Work proactively on Cost Trend defining drivers and follow market trends.RequisitionsKnowledge and Experience Requirements:- Bachelor ‘s degree in related field or relevant experience- 3 - 5 Years of experienceAfter spending 1-2 years in this position an associate will have the following key experiences:- Exposure to the Sourcing strategy process.- Enabler of net structural savings.- Suppler interaction to resolve day-to-day issues (e.g., quality/service level concerns).- Beginning negotiation skills.- Actively influencing to impact process and results.- Analyze, identify, and drive savings.Job Reference: LA01674
