Job SummaryThe Specialist, Hazard Communication (HazCom) is responsible for hazard and transport classifications for documents including Safety Data Sheets, Labels, Dangerous Goods Transportation and Poison Center Notifications.Responsibilities:- Hazard and Transport Classification of products using data obtained via industry associations, vendors, regulatory mandates and the IFF Toxicology team. Classifications are completed daily based on priority.- Authoring of SDS and GHS labels. Initial authoring plus updates.- Poison control notification (PCN) as required for products marketed in the EU or Korea.- Providing customer support for inquires and specific document requests. These typically originate from the shared mailbox and are handled on a daily basis.- Other HazCom related duties as assigned.Required:- Years of experience: 3-5- Education: BSc Chemistry, chemical engineering, biology (Organic Chemistry)- Advance level of EnglishDesirable:- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry- 5 years’ experience in regulatory affairs- Knowledge of SAP- Knowledge of the WERCS- Knowledge of Global Dangerous Goods regulations- Knowledge of the Globally Harmonized System for Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS)- Knowledge of Material Safety Data SheetsWe are a global leader in taste, scent, and nutrition, offering our customers a broader range of natural solutions and accelerating our growth strategy.
