Sr. Global Commodity Manager

Flex is the diversified manufacturing partner of choice that helps market-leading brands design, build and deliver innovative products that improve the world.Job Summary- To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a _Sr. Global Commodity Manager_ located in Guadalajara, North Campus._- Reporting to the Commodity Management Mechanical Director, this role involves being responsible for supporting the development, implementation and management of global strategies to provide Flex segments and business groups with optimal supply assurance, pricing, flexibility, quality and delivery performance (focus on Mechanical commodities). Working closely with the Supply Chain team / Local Management, the Commodity Manager will communicate and implement strategies, contracts and pricing to all regions with an overall focus on maintaining good supplier relationships and costs to a minimum to achieve maximum advantage for the company and its customers._What a typical day looks like:- _ Establish and manage long term strategic and core supplier relationships and will engage with Flex sites and business segments_- _ Guide the selection, development and management of Core and Strategic Suppliers to meet commodity costs and performance goals_- _ Organize and manage the commodity team with a focus on talent acquisition, retention and development and performance appraisal._- _ Implement programs for supplier selection, supplier performance management and supply base optimization_- _ Provide Quotation centers with support from core and strategic suppliers to obtain competitive and timely quotes_- _ Monitor current commodity market conditions, technology roadmaps and identify supply/demand challenges. Develop, implement and communicate tactical and strategic commodity plans internally and to Flex customers as appropriate_- _ Collaborate with Customer Supply Chain Managers and Product Introduction centers to coordinate sourcing strategies and ensure a smooth and timely manufacturing ramp on new programs._- _ Provide access to leading technology, product roadmaps, technology strategies and industry trends._- _ Provide point of escalation for Commodity issues as appropriate._- _ Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce._The experience we’re looking to add to our team:- _BA/BS degree._- _MBA is preferable_- _Previous experience on Mechanical commodities: hardware, fastener and die- cuts, rubbers._- _Advanced English level._- _Extensive knowledge in mechanical fabrication processes applicable to the manufacturing processes for hardware, fastener and rubbers._- _Strong experience within the metal/ plastic industry (3D data, drawing interpretation, tolerances, etc.)_- _Extensive knowledge in specifications and standards related to raw metals and plastics._- _Knowledge in creating, reading and improving Bill of Materials (BOMs)._- _Advanced Microsoft Office skills: excel, project & power point._- _Strong experience in supply chain strategies, supplier development, scouting, NPI, localization, alternate qualification process and execution._- _Previous leadership experience managing teams._- _Decision maker and strategic thinking._- _Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions._- _Ability to read, analyze and interpret MPI._- _Excellent communication skills._What you’ll receive for the great work you provide:- Competitive Salary.- Life & Medical insurance.- Christmas Bonus.- Food Coupons.- Saving Fund.IS81Job CategoryGlobal Procurement & Supply Chain**Required Skills**:Optional Skills:
