The team is responsible for the management of data end-to-end, including problems such as event creation, governance, and discovery.
We’re looking for a highly technical, developer-focused product manager with a Platform as a Product mentality to help set the direction of our Data Platform tools, services, and strategy. This role is an excellent opportunity to drive significant impact for someone who has worked in a product role with developers as a direct customer or has an engineering background and wants to transition into a formal product management role.

You have a proven record in tackling end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering platform capabilities in a fast-paced and rapidly growing business environment.

• Develop and manage deployment, evolution, and developer support plans for platform offerings.

• Identify what truly matters and find ways to deliver value quickly by building a deep understanding of our customers through surveys, product analytics, and shadowing customers.

• Champion our new app APIs, tools & services, and the value they offer, with engineering teams across Zillow Group.

• Drive scalability of build system and CI/CD pipeline, documentation, and automated release process.

This role has been categorized as a teleworker position. Teleworkers do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any part of Mexico, but preferably in Mexico City, as we would encourage attendance for occasional in-office events.

In addition to a competitive base salary and benefits, this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location.

Who you are Responsibilities

Who You Are

• 5+ years in a product or program management role.

• Deeply Technical. Experience with CI/CD (pipeline layouts, package/artifact management, cloud compute infrastructure, security, and IAM). You’re comfortable writing technical specifications as needed.’

• Platform as a Product approach. You understand developers are your primary customer and you’re passionate about abstracting problems that improve their experience and agility.

• Highly Analytical. You use data to make decisions and are comfortable assembling it yourself or working with others.

• Product Owner. You know how to take ideas, define products, work with partners, and ship features.

• Outcome-Oriented. You are able to cut to the core of a problem, identify what needs to be done and when, and work with the development team to get solutions shipped.

• Experience defining projects, driving requirements, writing functional specs and coordinating projects across multiple teams and organizations.

• Strong written and oral interpersonal skills.

• Impulsar la escalabilidad del sistema de construcción y la canalización de CI/CD, documentación y proceso de lanzamiento automatizado.

• Más de 5 años en un rol de gestión de productos o programas. 

• Profundamente Técnico. Experiencia con CI/CD (diseños de canalización, gestión de paquetes/artefactos, infraestructura informática en la nube, seguridad y IAM. Capaz de escribir especificaciones técnicas según sea necesario.

• Enfoque de Plataforma como Producto. Los desarrolladores son tu cliente principal y te apasiona abstraer problemas que mejoren su experiencia y agilidad.

• Altamente Analítico. Utilizas datos para tomar decisiones y te sientes cómodo recopilándolos por ti mismo o trabajando con otros.

• Propietario de Producto. Sabes cómo tomar ideas, definir productos, trabajar con socios y lanzar funciones.

• Orientado a resultados. Capaz de ir al núcleo de un problema, identificar qué necesita hacerse y cuándo, y trabajar con el equipo de desarrollo para implementar soluciones.

• Experiencia en la definición de proyectos, requisitos, redacción de especificaciones funcionales y coordinación de proyectos entre varios equipos y organizaciones.

• Fuertes habilidades de comunicación interpersonal escrita y oral.
