Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and Deliver InstructionDesign and implement engaging, rigorous math lessons aligned with the curriculum standards (e.g., Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Statistics).- Differentiate InstructionAdapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs, learning styles, and ability levels of students.- Assess and Track Student ProgressDevelop, administer, and grade assessments; provide timely, constructive feedback; and maintain accurate academic records.- Foster Critical Thinking and Problem Solving- Create a Positive Learning EnvironmentEstablish a classroom culture that promotes respect, collaboration, curiosity, and academic integrity.- Integrate TechnologyUse digital tools and platforms to enhance instruction, support learning, and facilitate communication with students and parents.- Collaborate with ColleaguesWork with other faculty members to align curriculum, share best practices, and support interdisciplinary projects or school initiatives.- Communicate with FamiliesMaintain open, professional communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress, classroom expectations, and school events.- Participate in School LifeContribute to the broader school community by attending meetings, participating in professional development, and supporting extracurricular programs or student events.- Maintain Professional StandardsStay current with developments in math education and pedagogy; comply with school policies, safeguarding requirements, and ethical standardsSkills, Qualifications and Experience**Skills**:Classroom management - Skilled in maintaining a respectful, focused, and supportive learning environmentQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field (required).**Experience**:2-5 years of experience teaching mathematics at the Upper School level.
