The role of the Accounting Assistant is to provide assistance for all things finance in Mexico. That means auditing, tax, reporting, risk management, and other responsibilities outlined below.**Key Responsibilities**:- Keep up to date on all processes related to the public sector, ensuring the correct operation of each one, avoiding sanctions for non-compliance with the law.- Monitoring of the renewal of legal licenses for Discova no later than March of each year, management of everything related to offices and bunkers.- Management of civil protection procedures.- Ensure all legal documents filing (including licenses and leasing renewals)/ tax and fee payments/ statutory and audit reports meet deadlines.- Contribute to ensuring effective tax planning to ensure compliance and optimization of taxation expenses for the Company.- Prepare accurate financial and business reports regularly at the manager’s requestA full job description, including further key responsibilities, will be shared with interested applicants.**Essential Qualifications and Experience**:- Minimum tertiary qualification or BA in Finance- Experience with legal processes in Mexico, including tax regulations- Fluent in written and verbal English**Skills and Attributes**:- Strong communication skills across cultures- Close attention to detail- Strong problem-solving skills across multiple projects simultaneously- Able to work independently and collaboratively- Willing to travel with work when required**About Us**:The Discova brand is the newest addition to the Flight Centre Travel Group.
