As a non-asset based organization, we have considerable flexibility when managing our customers’ supply chains.Our industry professionals, award winning processes, and globally unified systems ensure that we always live up to our promise, "You’d be surprised how far we’ll go for you.®"Descripción del empleoScope of PositionThe Sr Accounting Lead is responsible for accounting functions related to month end closing, financial reporting, bank reconciliations, fixed assets control, leasing records, provision and accruals, and headcount at country level through continue collaboration with Country Controller and Assistant Controller.**Key Deliverables**- Contribute to the preparation of the month end financial package (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash flows, accounting schedules and Financial Analysis) for review by the Regional and Global Accounting teams.- Contribute to Analysis of monthly sales and costs by Branch and by product.- Control of fixed assets, including day to day recording of acquisitions,disposals, and coordination of annual inventory of fixed assets at Country Level.- Control on prepaid expenses and monthly accruals, including confirmation with Branches.- Review Employee Expense Reimbursements in Concur system providing valid supporting documentation is attached.- Follow up for payment batch approvals with check signers.- Responsible for accounting areas which involve significant judgment and technical expertise.- Serving as a liaison to internal and external auditors, coordinating information requirements.- Maintains financial security by following internal controls predefined by Corporate Office.**Compliance**- Understand and comply with company internal controls, specifically the Fınancıal Process Control Documentation.- Promote compliance in diligently following all company policies and regulations and performing the task at hand with outstanding integrity.- Maintain highest compliance levels for all applicable requirements to Collection and Billing activities.**Requisitos**:**Qualifications**To be the most effective in this position we are looking for the following skills and experience:- Degree: Bachelor's degree in Accounting /Finance.- +5 years in Accounting Coordination and Supervisory roles, preferably at international companies.- Customer Satisfaction oriented.- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels.- Ability to relate and influence employees at all levels.- Time management skills and attention to detail and ability to multitask.- Problem solving.- Self-driven personality.- English and Spanish fluency.- Team work player.- Commitment to exemplify Expeditors’ culture at all times.Información adicional**Training Requirements**:- Meet company standards of 52 hours training per year, including as needed management/leadership training
