This is a unique role combining data analysis, digital support, and communication to ensure the institution's operations are data-driven and communication efforts are aligned with organizational goals. The Data & Communication Specialist will have a dual focus on two key aspects:- Data & Digital Support - Supporting the maintenance of student databases and fostering a digital environment.- Communication Support - Developing content and ensuring effective communication across various channels throughout the semester.**Key responsibilities**:**Data Analysis & Digital Support**:- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify trends and insights.- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI and Excel to support decision-making.- Automate data processes and workflows with tools such as Power Automate and VBA for enhanced efficiency.- Perform data quality checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity.- Collaborate with teams across the organization to understand data needs and provide actionable insights.- Identify opportunities for data-driven improvements and make strategic recommendations.**Communication Support**:- Present complex data insights in clear, concise, and visually engaging formats.- Develop and deliver reports, presentations, and communication materials tailored to diverse stakeholders.- Translate technical findings into accessible narratives that align with organizational objectives.- Facilitate effective communication between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.- Support internal and external communication strategies through data-driven content and insights.**Qualifications & Experience**:- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Communications, or a related field.- Proven experience in data analysis, communication, or related roles. Experience with business intelligence technologies and reporting packages is essential.- Proficiency in Power BI, Power Automate, VBA, Excel, and SQL. Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R is a plus.- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex findings effectively. Fluency in English and French (oral and written) is required.- Experience working with young adults in a multicultural environment is a plus.- Advanced Excel skills, with knowledge of reporting and data visualization techniques.- Familiarity with website scripts such as XML, JavaScript, and JSON is beneficial.- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines effectively.- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to work.- Strong ethical values and professional behavior with a customer-focused attitude.**Start date**:January 2025
