**THE COMPANY**Our client, a worldwide leader in electronic consumer good products recognized for innovation and quality serving the automotive, health, military, and residential and professional markets, currently seeks a Senior Human Resources Manager to provide leadership to a large manufacturing site (two buildings) in Tijuana, Mexico with over 2200 employees.**THE POSITION****General Description**:The Senior Human Resources Manager will be an HR generalist and trusted advisor to the Site Director of Operations and will be responsible for employment, employee relations, basic labor relations, recruitment activities, coordination and presentation of assigned compensation programs, coordination of employee welfare plans (pension, life insurance, health benefits, etc.), coordination of training programs, coordination of Human Resources needs and mandates with plant safety and health programs.**General Functions**:- Talent attraction strategy for all categories of the Tijuana Site.- Develop and maintain programs to support corporate policies and procedures.- Coordinate and/or develop training to respond to plant/local needs.- Direct administration of plant/locale wage and salary administration, employee performance appraisal programs, and employee recreation, and benefits program.- Conduct research on human resources programs activities.- May assist in coordination of public relations activities for assigned area in support of corporate policy.- Represent the company in day-to-day labor-management relations and in worker’s compensation and unemployment insurance matters.- Maintain labor compliance with all regulations in Mexico.- Other duties as assigned.**Specific Functions**:- Assure that corporate procedures are followed- Ensure properly qualified employees are recruited, hired, and retained.- Coordinate recruitment, selection, promotion, and placement of intracompany or divisional personnel.- Responsible for the analysis and reporting of manpower, turnover, EEO, Affirmative Action and/or other required logs and statistics.- Maintain required files and records. Coordinates data with corporate, as required.- Issue policy and procedure manuals as directed. Interpret policies for management.- Conduct Supervisory training, coordinate new employee orientation and line staff training, etc.- May direct the activities of head trainer.- Assist Corporate Compensation in tailoring corporate programs to the local site in Tijuana, Mexico. Administer incentive/commission plans.- Train management in annual changes and procedures.- May perform local surveys.- May direct the administration of employee safety, health, and security programs.- May administer employee recreation program.**Supervisory Responsibility**: 3 to 5 direct reports including an HR Manager and supervisory roles.**THE CANDIDATE**- Minimum of seven to ten years of human resources experience with experience in managing human resources functions. (i.e., HR Director, Sr. Human Resources Manager or HR Manager or similar).- Experience managing a large manufacturing site, preferably over 1250+ employees.- Must be an HR generalist.- Strong Mexico Labor Law / Regulations and employee relations.- Familiarity with Tijuana or border operations is highly preferred.**Education**:- Bachelor’s degree from a format four/five-year college, or equivalent education and/or experience.**Abilities**:- Bilingual Spanish / English fluency.- Computer skills (Windows, Microsoft Office, Tress or similar).**Skills**:- Excellent negotiation skills and conflict handling.- Strategic but hands-on.- Very good influencing and communication skills- Consensus builder but able to provide push back when warranted.- Resilient and able to handle rejection.- Gains trust easily.- Disciplined and self-motivated.- Organized.
