The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior SQL Server Database Administrator to join our dynamic team. This full-time, remote position is a critical part of our follow-the-sun support model, ensuring the highest levels of availability, reliability, and performance for our SQL Server infrastructure. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies, collaborate with a multicultural team, and play a pivotal role in maintaining and evolving our database systems.What You’ll Do- Maintain high availability and reliability of the SQL Server infrastructure.- Participate in the follow-the-sun support model.- Build and implement new database infrastructure.- Attend incident calls as per SLAs.- Enforce and uphold security and compliance policies.- Ensure adherence to backup and recovery policies.- Document legacy processes for improved clarity and efficiency.- Coach junior DBAs to enhance their technical skills.- Collaborate with other teams to discuss and optimize the underlying database infrastructure.Scope:Tools and Technologies:- SQL Server 2017+, Always On, Transactional Replication, Query Store, Log Shipping.- PowerShell, DBAtools, basic Windows administration, and an understanding of storage infrastructure.What You’ll BringExperience:- 7+ years in highly available SQL Server environments, working across virtual and physical infrastructures.- Proven ability to automate repetitive tasks using PowerShell or other scripting tools.Education:Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.Certifications:Microsoft certifications are a plus.Soft Skills:- Self-learner with a high level of initiative.- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.- Exceptional adaptability in a fast-paced environment.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially for working in a multicultural team.Preferred Knowledge:- Experience in manufacturing industries is a bonus.- Development background to facilitate smooth communication with developers.LI-JE1
