We call this true workforce dexterity—and we’re here to help you achieve it.**The Role**:The role of **Senior Management Accountan**t is a critical role in ensuring that we have the right data and insight into our business performance in a timely fashion, to run the business successfully. We are looking for individuals that demonstrate a strong aptitude for leading successful management accounting processes. Applicants must be able to show an ability to work with multiple stakeholder, in a matrix organizational structure.There is a team of Management Accountants, Senior Management Accountants, reporting into a Head of Management Accounting, mostly based in our Belfast Centre of Excellence.The essence of the function is to close our **month end accurately and as quickly** as possible, produce the resulting P&L’s and for the remainder of the time provide key information to stakeholders in the business, including inputs to forecast/budget.**Key Accountabilities**:**Financial & Operational Excellence**- Work closely with the Management Accountants in your team to ensure month end is closed in a timely manner- Identify judgement calls on month end items and make the appropriate recommendations- Input to monthly Finance Report for Board, and other reports for external stakeholders- Work with the Head of Management Accounting on a continual process improvement plan to improve the speed and processes around month end, Budgeting & Forecasting- Work closely with the Finance Business Partners to develop processes, framework for forecasting and annual budgeting- Work with P&L owners to ensure forecast and budget are recorded accurately in AMS’ finance systems**Ad Hoc Analysis****Provide analysis and information around areas such as**:- Cost analysis to support decisions around cost restructuring- Analysis to support central corporate/commercial team- Trend analysis and commentary when required to provide further insight to management information- Commitment and demonstrable ability to coach and develop team including developing a succession plan- Strong communication skills with the ability to analyze and communicate information succinctly and with impact Confidence to manage and work with a range of senior stakeholders- Experience and skills to work in a matrix environment**Skills & Experience**:- Ability to effectively collaborate with operations and other key players in a matrix organization- Experience working with a Global company- Ability to show resilience and manage priorities- Strong communication skills and comfortable presenting to stakeholders- Strong financial modeling skills- Minimum 7 years’ experience preferred in Accounting- 4-5 years of leadership experience- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting- Finance professional, working experience in a management accounting environment- Demonstrable examples of managing a good month end process, being able to individually contribute to its success- Ability to present financial numbers succinctly- Ability and experience of working with finance colleagues in separate locations- Work with Management Accountants to analyze implementation costs to track to budget and communicate to key stakeholders.- Support other responsibilities and ad hoc requests as may be assigned by Head of Finance (FP&A), Americas- Advanced MS Excel skills, and good background in finance systems**Other**:We strive to do things better for the world’s most demanding brands.
