Materials Planner

We are hiring a **Materials Planner - Long Distance **who will analyze and revise shipment** **plans as required. Work with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and accuracy of shipment records**What You Will Be Doing**:- Schedules and coordinates the efficient distribution of products to satisfy customer demand.- Analyzes and revises shipment plans as required.- Works with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and accuracy of shipment records.- Determines reorder points and ensures that sufficient levels of inventory are maintained.- Analyzes actual product demand, trends, and forecasts, and adjusts inventory plans accordingly.- Applies and implements lean practices to manage material and scheduling customer orders for least total product cost.- Determine reorder points and ensures that sufficient levels of inventory are maintained.- Analyze material requirements for raw and purchased material to complete production orders sequenced production and delivery of parts from internal and external suppliers.- Drive resolution on external and internal supply chain related issues.- Compile and maintain manual or computerized records for tracking production operations. (e.g.: Late Report, MRP exceptions)- Regular maintenance of materials thru life cycle.- Process material rejects Root cause and corrective actions, QMN’s**Who You Are**:**Required Skills and Competencies**- Bachelor’s degree on Engineering, Business, Administration or related.- Statistics and data analytics experience.- Project or Task Management experience.- Aware and involved in Lean Methodologies.- 3 to 5 years material planning experience.- A minimum of 1-year experience material planning within an International Supply Chain.- Advanced Excel ad hoc reporting & use of statistical tools (Tableau).**Preferred Skills and Competencies**- Utilize SAP transactions, tables & queries to obtain and analyze data to provide insights.- Able to use data analytics to prove a business point of view and change or create new metrics for performance.- Strong attention to detail and data analysis, statistics, and visualization skills.- Strong Oral and Written communication skills- Decision Making- Customer Service Orientation**Why People Choose to Work With Us**:At Steelcase, we put people at the center of everything we do.
