We are hiring a** Proposal Manager** toacts as a business partner to field sales and is responsible for managing and leading the Steelcase sales proposal and/or presentation process for complex, major sales opportunities identified.**What You Will Be Doing**:They become engaged in the sales process when a specific opportunity has been identified. Working in partnership with the sales organization the proposal manager leads internal, sales and dealer/partner resources to understand the request, select and align resources, prepare proposal strategy, assign responsibilities, manage the process, and ensure timely, accurate, branded, and compelling content is prepared and delivered. We will continue to maintain this practice as part of our larger hybrid work strategy.While flexibility varies by role and team, we support choice and control for our employees so they can choose the best place to do their best work.**Who You Are**:**Required Skills and Competencies**:- Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Business, or Design.- Advanced English is a must.- 3 years’ experience in proposal management or demonstrated equivalent.- Achievement of APMP Foundation Level certification or demonstrated equivalent.**Preferred Skills and Competencies**- 5 years’ experience in Steelcase sales, marketing, or Sr. Network.- Articulates RFX customer explicit and latent needs. Works collaboratively with sales and dealer to deliver sales points and value proposition.In-depth knowledge of the Steelcase sales process and broad general business knowledge.- Proven project management skills including organization, role definition, scheduling, work completion, communications, and process management.- Ability to listen, understand and contribute to the sales strategy and lead development of the proposal strategy.- Demonstrated ability to lead people, especially able to manage internal/external cross-functional teams under tight time frames.- Ability to communicate written and verbal, in English, to all organizational layers, internally in externally.- Generalist, with strong problem-solving skills, who is focused on achieving results within short time frames.**Why People Choose to Work With Us**:At Steelcase, we put people at the center of everything we do.
