Expeditors is headquartered in Seattle, Washington.Job DescriptionScope of PositionTo further develop the Air & Ocean productivity by closing 50% of the business currently being quoted for both imports and exports, while having the ability to trend our profitability, keeping up with the marker conditions and adhering to the company culture, policies and procedures.Key DeliverablesProactively monitor the following key metrics to achieve the expected results:Customer Loyalty- Customer SOPs updated in a timely manner.- Customer’s approved list - updated and complete.- Best in class pricing.- CRDM usage.Operational Performance- Complete 52 hours training per year (4.33 per month)- Quoting tool.- Automated Tariff System (ATS).- Catapult.- Cargo Guide.- Sales pipeline accuracy.- RFQ’s timely response.- SPOT/GAM/Network rates updated.- Speed to quote.Service provider management- SPM maintenance of rates.- SPM tools and resources usage.Data Quality- District Excellence understanding and execution.Security Health and Safety- Safety & Security Policy.- Compliance- Trade Partners.- Transportation Security Administration (TSA).- Federal Maritime Commission (FMC).- In bonds.Finance- 50% win ratio.- Revenue markup control.- Market Conditions monitoring.- Incoterms (Prepaid/Collect)Security, Health and Safety- Responsible to inform immediately to the Branch’s Health and Safety representative any unsafe condition that could put employees at risk in the work place environment.- Responsible to inform immediately to the Branch’s Health and Safety representative any incident or accident, regardless if the affected employee does not look hurt.Air & Ocean import Billing Agent job responsibilities:- Understand Expeditors’ policies, mission, vision, and culture.- Understand Expeditor’s general procedures and quality expectations (District Excellence).- Understand the Air & Ocean process per Expeditors’ Operational Performance Standards (OPS), and always be in the lookout for better practices to improve operational performance, efficiency and productivity.- Manage, maintain and respond to all quotes requests via the centralized pricing mailbox, utilizing the approved format per Expeditors’ quoting tool.- Quote inquires to be responded within 2 hours, and 100% quotes competed/presented within 24 hours, updating accurate data into the quoting tool- unless there is a valid exception. In cases where the request can not be fulfilled, the client must be informed in a timely manner.- Understand and execute in accordance to the pricing import department’s systems and tools - including but not limited to:- Best in Class Pricing- Customer Approved List - Make sure all customers are update and information is complete.- Sales Pipeline- CRDM- All Air & Ocean pricing reports - related to OPS, OPA and Pricing(Refer to all available reports in AO Imports Automatic Internal Reports)- Ensure the highest level of customer service per Expeditors Standards.- Ensure all customer’s standards operating procedures are in place and updated in Expeditors’ Customer SOP database and execute pricing process accordingly.- Ensure approved customer’s list is updated in a timely manner as part of the recognition and set up of new and existing customers.- Proactively interaction with all customers, providing professional advise and/or suggestions to different alternatives that will facilitate shipment processing.- Contribute to maintain good relationships with all internal and external suppliers/service providers (Broker, Air lines, trucking companies and others involved).- Understand and support our service provider management processes and procedures.- Work in conjunction with the product management team to determine pricing margin guidelines.- Effectively track/trend all quotes completed - be able to measure win/loss ratio/timeliness of the quotes.- Maintain and review all quotes (SPOT/GAM/Network rates) and ensure operation’s team have the latest version.- Contribute and maintain a positive team work environment, working actively as a team and supporting our network (internal/external).- Proper interaction with operations peers, billing and/or other Expeditors’ offices (origins, gateways, etc).- Properly escalation of issues to immediate supervisor and/or manager, or any other required
