A home for your talent and ambition.A home for everyone.Overview:Packaging Engineering**Responsibilities**:The Packaging Engineer position provides technical, administrative and creative support for the coordination, planning and implementation of packaging solutions for new products and improvement/modification to existing products for Mexican plants. Develop cost reduction projects and continuous improvement for direct and indirect materials.- Develop package projects through design, testing, documentation and evaluation of products in order tomeet department goals.- Coordinate correct package design implementation at manufacturing areas in collaboration withmultifunctional teams.- Provide engineering and logistic support for product packaging from concept through production anddistribution.- Collaborate with engineering and procurement for the proper development of new part numbersrequired for the launch of new products.- Follow up the execution of ECN’s generated for existing products in order to ensure its correct and timelyimplementation.- Generate package specifications and procedures when this is required by the activities of the plant.- Review new developments generated by suppliers to verify that these meet precisely the establishedrequirements. If required, approve or reject mentioned developments either graphic or structural.- Analyze cost reduction opportunities and improvement projects that are feasible to being implemented inall Mexican plants.Qualifications:Education - Bachelor degree, Industrial Design. Related degrees such as industrial or mechanical engineering canbe considered when experience is met.Experience - 2-4 years of professional experience in packaging design, focused on heavy and fragile products.Knowledge - Proficient user of Artios CAD and Adobe Illustrator. Basic user of Microsoft Office and Google docs.Knowledge of packaging protocols and regulations, ISTA, ASTM, TAPPI. Basic knowledge of CAPE Pack and ProductData Management is a plus.Skills/Abilities - Fluent English (written and oral) with technical and business vocabulary. Strong teamwork, solidcommunication, proactive, great attention to details and precision, strong observation and analytical skills. Provenproblem-solving skills.
