Visión general:
This role is responsible for supporting the industrialization of Chinaware New Product Development (NPD) within
our manufacturing facilities. The Project Engineer will also be responsible for supporting existing products as
quality or manufacturing issues related to design arise. The engineer will need to work closely with the operations, quality, and process teams during these projects. The engineer will be responsible for creating the necessary documentation to hand over the product to operations. They will need to drive the definition of processes, implementation of best practices processes, and use their expertise to suggest design modifications that will be beneficial to the product
**Responsabilidades**:
Create Standard Operating procedures for NPD and existing products.
Manage projects that drive NPD, Design changes, and cost reduction.
Establish process controls for NPD projects that ensure we reach target yields, cost, and quality.
Utilize continuous improvement solutions and six sigma methodologies to drive product improvements.
Act as a key link between Engineering US, Operations team, quality teams, and process teams to properly introduce new products into the manufacturing plants.
Requisitios:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Preferable degrees would be in Chemical, Industrial, Ceramic, Materials or Mechanical disciplines
Must speak fluent English
**2 - 3 or more years** of experience working in a related position.
Advanced Statistics (8D’s, 5 Whys, brainstorming, Pareto charts, histograms)
Six Sigma certification preferred
Lean Manufacturing experience preferred
Interpretation of control charts, process capability (Cp and Cpk).
Experience writing PFMEA’s is preferred
