TE Connectivity's Continuous Improvement Teams design and implement programs and projects to improve products, services, or processes aligned with business strategies. They coach teams; establish program performance metrics; and establish process excellence supports.**What your background should look like**:- Responsibility- Setup the framework to determine, measure and continuously monitor project resources, scope and objectives against the plan- Improve First-Time-Right of projects and Speed-to-Ramp of New Product introduction- Optimize project execution by: defining the problem, measuring the process by collecting data, analyzing the relevant data, optimizing the process and controlling the process output- Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner- Assess the resources, competence and capabilities needed for each project- Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan- Setup the framework to prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements- Track project costs in order to meet budget- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress- Guide and lead the team on the use of 6-sigma tools for troubleshooting, improving process yields and output, product quality and cost- Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution**Qualifications**:- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering- At least 5 years of project management and related experience- Certified 6-Sigma Black Belt preferred, Green Belt required- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred- Experience in using MS Project preferred- Proven ability to solve problems creatively- Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices- Experience in delivering presentations to Top Management- Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful- Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline- Organized, methodical and self-motivated individual with the ability to work under mínimal supervision, on own initiative and meet own commitments is essential.- Written and spoken fluency in English**Competencies**:- Managing and Measuring Work- Building Effective Teams- Motivating Others- Values: Integrity, Accountability, Teamwork, Innovation- SET : Strategy, Execution, Talent (for managers)
