This position will proactively manage and advise the business on any risks or local regulation requirements for all production activities.What You Can Expect:- Serve as the primary legal advisor for the Production team at Casa Herradura, providing legal counsel on all service/vendor/purchasing/etc. agreements.- Manage the coordination of external counsel for legal agricultural matters, labor, penal and special issues, including internal and external audits.- Legally represent Brown- Forman for external affairs, relations with Industry Chambers, Tequila Regulatory Counsel, Regulation Committees and other groups as deemed necessary, by providing legal assessments on pending legislation and changes in the current applicable regulation.- Lead the development of legal strategy for Casa Herradura. Serve as a business partner to maintain compliance and ensure business continuity.- Partner with marketing and design to review and develop labels and new products for Brown-Forman's tequila portfolio.- Work closely with the Commercial Legal Counsel to ensure optimum efficiency of the Mexico Legal team, including collaboration on joint projects, management of legal staff, and serving as a back-up for each other, as well as other project work.What You Bring to the Table:- Law Degree Juris Doctorate or Equivalent); Legal professional degree specialization in Corporate and Contracts Law.- Minimum of 6 years experience as a corporate lawyer.- Strong business management background coupled with functional experience in management practices.- A robust understanding of business needs and the balance between legal requirements and business strategies.- Demonstrated ability to influence, network and build productive business partnerships with key decision makers internally and externally.- Efficient time management skills.- Fluent/Superior English skills, both spoken and written.What Makes You Unique:- Experience in the spirits industry.- Experience in Multinational CorporationLI-IB1Requisition Type:EmployeeManagement Level:LeaderGlobal Job Level:L3Number of Openings Available:1
