Let’s Talk about the Role: As the EHS Fixed Facility/OSS Director, you will lead functional efforts across Global Tooling, Onsite Services (OSS) and Parts; tactically deploying resources in the reduction of risk and fostering an environment of continuous EHS improvement. Reporting to the Global EHS Leader, you will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of EHS strategy, whilst maintaining compliance with all country, federal, state, and local regulations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership, guidance and direction to Region and Site EHS personnel
  • Resolve a wide scope of complex EHS situations
  • Provide in-depth analysis of metrics and ways to improve safety policies and programs
  • Coach, train, and mentor all Operations Leaders including but not limited to Tooling, Parts, and OSS directors, facility leaders, field EHS professionals, and supervisors.
  • Establish good communication with site leadership and customers
  • Interface with GE and/or other EHS and quality personnel to share best practices and solidify policies and procedures
  • Be proactive in approach; leverage industry best practices into One Field Services
  • Inform, educate, and drive awareness at all levels about One Field Service’s safety policies and EHS standards
  • Manage and respond to EHS audits and inspections
  • Manage Site Safety Plans to ensure compliance with EHS policies, customer and job specific requirements, and all government regulations
  • Manage EHS incident and injury reporting within specified local country EHS guidelines and conduct timely follow up investigations and close outs
  • Manage an Incident and Injury Prevention Plan to engender NO HARM safety culture
  • Attain and manage international accreditations as required to deliver the company’s global and regional strategies
  • Ensure personal protective equipment meets the last-line-of-defense requirements of the task for hazard analysis and legislative requirements
  • Partner with the training team to ensure that the EHS training provisions align with cultural, regional, and international requirements
  • Assess and revise EHS training to ensure it meets the demands of customers, job specific requirements, and One Field Service’s safety standards
  • Conduct timely and accurate assessments and reviews of EHS Managers within the region
  • Review and approve safety awards to promote and encourage the No Harm safety culture
  • Support recruitment and safety efforts by maintaining an effective safety program
  • Accountable for maintaining and reporting on key EHS metrics
  • You may be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization’s core values.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Progressive experience and demonstrated success and knowledge in Environment, Health & Safety including managing and developing multi-discipline teams, preferably with international reach across multiple service types
  • English proficiency required
Skills for success:
  • Ability to form, lead, motivate, and direct a strong and effective team
  • Expert analytical, organizational, and functional planning abilities
  • Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization, including executive management, as well as the ability to engage field employees
  • Specialized EHS training/certification on topics such as OSHA CFR 1910 and/or 1926 (or equivalent local regulatory training), NFPA, Process Safety, etc.
  • Lead Investigator training in root cause analysis techniques (such as TOPSET, TAPROOT)
  • Lead Auditor qualification for management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
  • Ability to prepare accurate reports containing findings/recommendations and perform a wide variety of duties and responsibilities with accuracy and speed under the pressure of time sensitive deadlines

A formal education and subsequent University Bachelor or Master’s degree in EHS, Operations, Engineering, Science, Business Administration or Management are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.
