Role Summary The Expense Audit Accountant reviews, validates, and ensures the accuracy and compliance of employee expense reports and corporate card transactions in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations. This role plays a key part in maintaining financial integrity by monitoring T&E activities, identifying irregularities, and supporting process improvements. Responsibilities Ensure all T&E and P‑card expense reports qualify for reimbursement per Flowserve T&E policy and communicate exceptions promptly. Identify inconsistencies in daily data, correct or escalates issues, and follow up continuously. Handle complex traveler requests and inquiries according to SLAs. Support month‑end close activities. Assure accuracy of ledger account coding with rigorous training and follow‑up. Maintain a functional relationship with employees and stakeholders to assure healthy service level. Review payment runs to ensure data accuracy. Train and mentor other team members. Ensure compliance with policies, US GAAP, SOX, and local laws and conduct business within the ethical code. Create and update Desktop Procedure Documentation. Lead or participate in required projects, calls, and meetings. Report daily tasks, issues, and priorities to the supervisor. Perform other ad‑hoc tasks as directed. Requirements 3+ years of experience in a multinational company accounting or auditing platform. Economics/Finance related secondary studies or bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress). Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (additional languages a plus). Higher user‑level Microsoft Office knowledge (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Strong knowledge of ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP. Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with stakeholders. Strong analytical, research, and problem‑solving skills. Attention to detail and proactive recognition of process gaps. Continuous improvement mindset (Lean Six Sigma advantage). High tolerance for multi‑tasking and excellent teamwork.
